The STD Related Reproductive Health Training and Technical Assistance Center (STD TAC) was a training and TA center funded by CDC (through August 31, 2024) to improve sustainability of state STD programs and clinics, and public health labs providing STD testing services.
The STD TAC goal was to build key stakeholder capacity to:
- Assess the feasibility of billing and reimbursement for STD services
- Scale up billing and reimbursement systems
The STD TAC built on the previous work done through the Region I Infertility Prevention Project (IPP), that worked from 1995-2012 to prevent STD-related infertility through prevention and screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
The STD TAC was funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of STD Prevention and the Office of Population Affairs to JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc.
