Talking the Talk: Communicating with Adolescents about Reproductive Health*

This eLearning course is developed by the Sylvie Ratelle STD/HIV Prevention Training Center of New England through funding from CDC.  Health care providers may have difficulty talking to adolescents about reproductive health care, but choosing not to broach the topic may have serious consequences. Many teens at risk for sexually transmitted infections are not being screened, and the United States teen pregnancy rate is the highest in the developed world.  This course aims to give health care providers the knowledge and language they need to ask sensitive questions about sexual health as well as both the knowledge and cultural competency to respond effectively.
